Jewish After School in Action
Proven success in Atlanta and other cities around the country.
Jewish Kids Groups
Atlanta, GA
Sine 2012, Jewish Kids Groups has been making Jewish education fun and reaching families not being served in the Jewish community. JKG started with just six children and has grown to over 200 at four locations! Our programs are designed for all types of Jewish families, including interfaith and unaffiliated. The Jewish educational backgrounds of our students are diverse, and our teachers are trained to engage all learners making JKG a place children look forward to coming, where friendships are made and Jewish identity is built.
JKG is a cheerleader for the Jewish community and works to expand and strengthen it, honoring Jewish tradition and embracing Jews from all walks of life and backgrounds.
Jewish Kids Groups has served over 1000 kids in the Atlanta area and continues to impact more families and children each year.
Nitzan Network
The Nitzan Network supports the renewal of Jewish learning after school. Network members support each other by sharing resources and practices, discussing successes and challenges, and collectively engaging national experts in the discussion pedagogy, curriculum, organization, and practice.
Network members include professionals and lay leaders involved in emerging, developing, and established programs that are designed to renew Jewish learning after school. Affiliated programs offer or seek to offer after school programming multiple days per week.
The network was catalyzed by a small number of emerging programs in North America looking for a community of practice and support. The initial launch of the network was funded by the generous support of The Covenant Foundation and is being led by one of their grantees, the Edah program in Berkeley, California.
Members of the Nitzan Network include…
Edah - Berkeley, California
Makom - Philadelphia, PA
MoEd - Washington D.C.
Jewish Enrichment Center - Hyde Park, IL
Jewish Kids Groups - Atlanta, GA
