Bring Jewish After School to Your Synagogue: Apply Today for Cohort 3

Youth education is critically important to the continued strength of the Jewish community.

Traditional Jewish education programs work for some, but can be challenging for many of today's busy and diverse Jewish families who need a more convenient, flexible, and accessible option.

Infusing Jewish content into an essential service families with young children already rely on, like after-school childcare, makes it easy for families to prioritize Jewish education.

The Jewish After School Accelerator (JASA) provides the tools, guidance, curriculum, and financial support your synagogue needs to attract new families and strengthen Jewish connections with Jewish after school. In the past year alone, JASA has helped 11 U.S. synagogues develop their own Jewish after-school programs.

Starting today, you can apply to participate in JASA Cohort 3 and open your synagogue’s Jewish after-school program in the fall of 2025.

Program Details

Participating synagogues will receive guidance from experts and collaborate with other synagogues to:

  • Set up and manage the program’s budget

  • Market the program to families

  • Recruit, train, and retain staff

  • Structure transportation plans

  • Customize the student curriculum

Accelerator participants also receive matching grants of up to $100,000 over three years to offset start-up costs.

Next Steps

  1. Apply to cohort 3 by June 30.

  2. Sign up to attend a webinar to learn more about the JASA program and ask questions: May 23 or June 4 (optional)

Don't miss this unique opportunity to grow your synagogue and strengthen your community.
